Placing the Cross at Sundown on July 11, his Birthday

16 of us met at TGI Friday's on what would have been Phil's 25th birthday, to celebrate him, and get prepared for the big event.
After dinner, we went through the WMU Technology campus, had to climb over the fence and into chest-high weeds and
wildflowers (what a sight!). We gathered to place his cross at the site where his truck rolled off US-131. We each
spread some ashes as we spoke our individual sentiments to him. A lilac bush is planted beside the cross.
Thank you to the WMU Police and Landscaping for mowing up to the fence on campus!
